#86 - Peter Ziggy - Planning Your Way to Financial Freedom
Monday Mar 28, 2022
Monday Mar 28, 2022
Peter Ziggy is the founder of 3P Corp, a financial services boutique here in Melbourne. But you may also know Ziggy as a TV and Radio personality or as the author of 'Money Does Grow On Trees'.
So where do we begin with this podcast? We covered so many areas.
Ziggy shared with us how he founded 3P and the story of rising from the depths of depression to turn around his life and the model of his business. While stating how important it is to build your relationships in order to create a truly wealthy life.
He shared some incredible tips and briefly talked about the stages of life and the different financial mindsets we should have in those times.
We talked about wealth accumulation and methods we can do that.
As well as how to budget correctly and why it is so important to truly understand where you’re at financially. It’s frightening to learn so many people have no idea how much they earn, spend, save and invest. And in particular don’t have any plans for the short term or their life span.
But what we really took away from this episode is the need to have a plan. And the exciting part is we can all do something today to improve our spending habits and grow our wealth. Some of it is so simple and right under our noses!
There are so many gems in this episode and you won’t be able to resist Ziggy’s infectious laugh and energetic personality. He really makes financial planning fun and gives us all hope to achieve our goals around money.

#85 - Paul Kennedy - Breaking Away From The Toxic Drinking Culture
Monday Mar 21, 2022
Monday Mar 21, 2022
Paul Kennedy is a journalist, an author and a television presenter best known for his some 14 years with the ABC News breakfast.
We were so privileged to sit down and spend some time with Paul as he shared some real insightful gems of wisdom that he’s discovered throughout his life.
We chatted about his latest book 'Funkytown'. An autobiography reflecting on his memoirs of his teenage years growing up in Frankston, Victoria. And boy did that open a can of worms.
We talked about the macho culture he experienced growing up which lead to excessive drinking, pub brawls, sexual ideology and even getting expelled from high school in year 12. When really all he wanted to do was play professional football, find love and live a good life.
So many of the experiences Paul faced back then rings true in today’s society as we talked about toxic masculinity and how it can be defined. Which really opened our eyes.
Paul’s journalism career is really impressive too. Working at the Herald Sun, Network 10, Channel 9 and The ABC just to name a few.
Paul reflected on how he got into journalism and the path he took to get there which wasn’t the norm. It’s a great story of persistence and proactivity which you’re going to love.
He also shared some insight into his coaching philosophy and why he teaches his players not to fear failure. A pattern he’s experienced in his life.
Guys, this interview is only short but it’s so powerful. And we can’t wait to chat with Paul again for part 2.
You can purchase 'Funkytown' now at all good bookstores and of course online.

#84 - Carlo Cirillo - Back Yourself & Take The Leap
Monday Mar 14, 2022
Monday Mar 14, 2022
Carlo Cirillo is a Life Coach, breathwork facilitator, ice bath junkie, podcast host and entrepreneur.
Carlo is a true inspiration to both of us after hearing his entrepreneurial journey and the constant failure he has overcome to get to where he is today. This one has been in the pipeline for a good 6 months after connecting with each other on Instagram so it was such a joy to be able to have Carlo in the studio for a chat.
Everyone can see the success Carlo is currently reaping today. But whilst he took us behind the curtain of running a successful brand and coaching business, he shared with us some of his darkest days where he questioned what he was doing and if it would work.
Carlo shared with us his story of investing in multiple start up companies and failing multiple times and what it took for momentum to gather. Going from not being able to afford a coffee to now living an incredible lifestyle.
It was so powerful to hear about finding his identity and why so many people don’t know theirs. And why committing to a 10 year plan and staying consistent unlocked so much clarity.
He shared with us his spiritual journey which took many turns and some of the crazy experiences he had which he now helps facilitate.
We absolutely loved every minute of this conversation and we know this one is going to inspire all of you to keep grinding away at your goals and trusting that your time will come.

#83 - Dos & D Have Been Bullied on TikTok
Monday Mar 07, 2022
Monday Mar 07, 2022
Well what a week it has been for Dos & D.
The boys are back and have caused quite the social media stir.
We've had a taste of our first viral videos on TikTok and let's just say that not everyone is a fan. We read out some of the hate we've received with some hilarious results.
Dos shares a hysterical story about an uber ride that ended up at the wrong destination. Perhaps some identity theft was at play?
D competed in a swim/run race but hasn't swam for 10 years. And what happened when his dislocated shoulder came back to bite him? Lifeguards, floaties and pure embarrassment was all at play.
We all hate a 'dobber'. Why did one of the lads get dobbed in at the gym and for what ridiculous reason?
Plus angry boys returns yet again with more theft going on at the Dos & D household. This one will have you in stitches.
Thank you once again for tuning in. Sit back and enjoy the show!

#82 - Dylan O’Keeffe - Life In The Fast Lane
Monday Feb 28, 2022
Monday Feb 28, 2022
Dylan O'Keeffe is a a race car driver currently competing in the TCR Australia Touring Car Series with Garry Rogers Motorsport.
Dylan took us behind the wheel with all things racing.
We chatted about his pathway to becoming professional and how difficult it can be for young up and coming drivers to crack into a team.
He took us behind the scenes of what really goes on in professional racing. Like the amount of money spent when mistakes happen on the track and the pressure to perform. And of course those scary moments when a crash occurs.
Dyl told us about the experiences and places driving has taken him to both in Australia and Europe. And what race weekends look like and the polarising difference between good and bad results. Including the occasional in-team friction when teammates make costly mistakes during a race.
But Dylan has so many aspects to him outside of his profession. He chatted to us about his love for aviation, business and some of his endeavours he wants to do on the side while in the industry and post his racing career.
We had so much fun sitting down with Dyl and learned so much about a sport Dos and I admittedly don’t know much about. But Dylan’s humble and funny personality made this podcast so enjoyable for us and we know you’ll love it too. Whether you’re into motor racing or not.
So sit back, have a laugh and enjoy our chat with the great Dylan O'Keeffe.

#81 - Idiots Abroad Part 2
Monday Feb 21, 2022
Monday Feb 21, 2022
We are back in Australia after 5 weeks in The UK and we are pumped to be podcasting from home again.
On this episode we bring you part 2 of our journey abroad. And it was not without complications.
We chat about AirBNB's and all the drama we experienced at them. What happened when we tried to open the bedroom door of a sleeping giant's room at 1.00am? Who made a mess on the bed? And plenty more unfortunate events.
Find out about our time outside of London when we headed to the top of England. We experienced an unexpected adventure and hardship just to do some washing, we got kicked off a schoolground and Dos struggled to flirt with a waitress. You don't want to miss that.
As it is well documented, we fell ill on the trip. But Dos' food choices on a daily basis probably didn't help with his stomach issues. Plus we discuss the little eavesdropping nuggets of gold we picked up in cafes.
Our good friend took us in for a few days to spend time with him and his family. The ultimate host, an even better guy but Dos & D always manage to find amusement in the little things. Including competitive brothers, Sunday league football and dinner time conversations.
How many items ended up lost on the trip? Find out, but warning, it may frustrate you to learn that most were probably avoidable...and some even showed up in suitcases weeks later.
And finally, the ultimate nightmare for podcasters. When you finish an amazing interview to find your audio has gone missing. How did we get out of that one?
So sit back, have a laugh and enjoy Idiots Abroad Part 2.

Monday Feb 14, 2022
Monday Feb 14, 2022
Archie & Miles Sheppard (Aka Shepmates) are Tik Tok superstars who have taken social media by storm with their hilarious sporting commentary skits.
These young fellas are absolutely crushing it. Their passion for sport and making videos has now turned into a genuine opportunity to do this thing full time.
This chat was full of everything. We laughed our asses off while we enjoyed a few beers as the conversation went down so many rabbit holes.
The lads shared their sudden rise to fame and the interesting story behind it.
We chatted about the reality around making money doing something you love on social media and what it takes to blow up and grab attention.
We loved hearing about the boys being interviewed by Shane Warne and Mark Howard on Fox Cricket this summer and the cool little gift they received from them post interview. Along with the other radio opportunities they've had.
They opened up about their ambitions and where they want to take Shepmates and the awareness they have to enjoy riding the wave.
Plus get to know the lads on a deeper level as they open right up on their personal goals. You'll be blown away by the other side of them. Incredibly wise beyond their age, very funny and so grounded.
We had a hell of a time chatting to these amazing young men and we know you will get a real buzz after listening to the energy these boys have for life.

#79 - Jo Emerson - How to Ooze Confidence & Conquer Rejection
Monday Feb 07, 2022
Monday Feb 07, 2022
Jo Emerson is a confidence and human behaviour expert, a former BBC journalist and the international executive coach of the year.
We were lucky enough to sit down with Jo and pick her brains and expertise about confidence. A broad topic that we’ve all struggled with at one point in our lives.
And we couldn’t have spoken to a better guest about this topic. Jo was so informative and giving in her responses that we personally learnt so much from.
We chatted about where confidence comes from and why it it so easily broken down and taken away from us. Along with the challenges we face in the world and why now more than ever so many people lack it. But Jo has a beautiful view on it and how we can begin building it back up with simple steps and finding our place in the world.
We discussed the difference between confidence and arrogance and why we often mistake the two. And how so many people fall into the trap of chasing materialism and believing it will lead to confidence. Jo quickly shut it down and explained that confidence truly comes from the inside.
We talked about the fear of rejection and the fear of public speaking and why this is so common. She shared some amazing tips to overcome them which we found so useful as neither of us had heard some of these perspectives before.
Jo shared her personal story of how she began coaching which was incredibly touching. She shared the numerous hardships she faced in her life including losing a friend to suicide and making the brave decision to leave her marriage while having three young daughters.
It doesn’t matter where you are currently in life, what you do or how you feel about yourself, this episode will have something for you.

#78 - Rosie Wilby - Sex, Break Ups & Is Monogamy Dead?
Sunday Jan 30, 2022
Sunday Jan 30, 2022
Rosie Wilby is an award-winning comedian, author, Ted X speaker and podcaster who has appeared many times on BBC Radio 4 programmes including Woman's Hour and Four Thought.
Her first book 'Is Monogamy Dead?' was longlisted for the Polari First Book Prize and followed a trilogy of solo shows investigating the psychology of love and relationships.
And this episode was raw.
We were fortunate to speak with Rosie as she has recently just launched her brand new book, 'The Breakup Monologues', which is based on her acclaimed podcast of the same name.
In 2011, Rosie was broken up with via email and has been obsessing about break ups ever since. She embarked on a quest to investigate, understand and conquer the psychology of heartbreak...but in a humorous way.
We talked all things break ups and Rosie shared some really insightful answers that could help anyone who might be going through a break up or is struggling to get over the heart ache of one.
We spoke about the topic of Monogamy. And if it is dead. Rosie's Ted x talk, 'Is Monogamy Dead?' has now been viewed over 56K times on YouTube. So we knew we'd get a fascinating answer.
It was really interesting picking her brain on the topic of sex and finding out how important sex really is in a relationship. Rosie shared some results she collected from a survey about what is and isn't classified as cheating. The answers may be surprising to some people.
You won’t want to miss a minute, so crank up the volume and tune into this incredible conversation with Rosie Wilby.

#77 - Ryan Hutton - From Making Milkshakes to West End Theatre Star
Monday Jan 24, 2022
Monday Jan 24, 2022
Ryan Hutton is a West End Theatre Star currently playing the role of Rodney Trotter in The Only Fools and Horses Musical.
And this was one of our favourite interviews we've ever done.
We chatted about the show and the immense pressure felt when they decided to turn one of The UK's national treasures into a West End Musical.
Ryan shared what it's like performing in front of comedy legends like Ricky Gervais and working alongside Paul Whitehouse all at the age of just 24.
Ryan told his inspiring story of being a gifted footballer but not quite being able to fulfil his dream and the bitter pill he had to swallow. And how he found acting and the determination he displayed to make it in a very competitive industry.
You'll be inspired as Ryan shares the days of working 4 jobs to pay the rent and even setting up his own theatre company to give himself an opportunity of one day making it. And of course that magic moment when he landed the role as Rodney.
Ryan opened up about the other side of the lights and how he got through performing when he was struggling in his personal life. He told us about the sacrifices he's made, relationships lost and events missed due to his demanding schedule of performing 6 days a week.
On top of all that, Ryan shared incredible wisdom. We talked about why fear holds so many back, taking a leap to follow your dreams and the power of dedication that will lead to success.
You guys are going to love this episode and Ryan's relatable, charming and hilarious personality.
And if you're in the London area, check out Only Fools and Horses. You are guaranteed a great night full of laughs!
