#75 - Yolanda Charles MBE - Reaching Stardom as an International Rockstar

Yolanda Charles is the founder and bassist for Project PH Band, international rockstar and Member of The British Empire for her contribution to music. 

Yolanda's career in the music industry is something that many of us dream about. 

Prior to her current band Project PH, Yolanda's CV is certainly impressive. She has played alongside Robbie Williams, Mick Jagger, Paul Weller and Hans Zimmer just to name a few. As well as touring the world with her own band's and even working on TV. 

We had such a great time chatting with Yolanda as she reflected on her career. She shared with us how she got into the industry, her first big break and what it was like behind the scenes on The Jonathan Ross show. 

We laughed as she talked about life on the road and some of the more unpleasant experiences of touring. And the difficulty she sometimes faced being the only female in the group travelling the world. 

Yolanda took us backstage to one of the biggest performances in musical history. Robbie Williams live at Knebworth. It was truly eye opening to hear about the experience, what it was like working with Robbie and all of the fun and anxiety that came with it. 

She shared with us her recent achievement of receiving an MBE. Things got quite emotional as she told us what it would mean to her parents and family and just how hard they had to work to make a life for themselves in England. 

This was one of the best interviews we've sat down to do and you guys are going to have a blast listening to it.
