Damien Bugeja is an ultra runner who recently completed a 48 hour run raising money for The Peter Mac Foundation.
In this episode, Damien shares his story of becoming a full time carer for his Dad when he was suddenly diagnosed with cancer and the heartbreaking pain of his passing.
Since that day, Damien's perspective changed and through the immense pain he went through has been able to keep Joey's legacy alive and become an inspiration for so many.
Damien is now an ultra runner who has completed grueling runs in his Dad's honour, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for The Peter Mac Foundation. His most recent being a 48 hour run.
Damien also shares with us his lowest points of his journey including suicidal thoughts and the need to sometimes pick up the phone and just cry to one of his mates.
We talk in depth about impact, the stigma of crying as a man, fear and perspective on things that are truly important in life.
This episode will make you laugh, cry and reflect and we know you will get as much out of it as we certainly did.
Enjoy!
